Signalling Maintenance Technician (Rail)

About the role
We are looking for a motivated, safety‑focused individual to join our Signalling Maintenance team in London. You will support the Team Leader, help organise the crew, and ensure work is carried out safely and to the highest standards. The role includes inspections, fault‑finding, maintenance, renewal work and occasional leadership duties.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver signalling maintenance work safely and efficiently in line with approved systems, standards and procedures.
- Carry out inspections, maintenance and fault‑finding on signalling equipment to keep the network running smoothly.
- Ensure tools, vehicles and equipment are fit for use and properly maintained.
- Accurately report completed work and maintain essential records.
Required profile
- Proven experience planning and implementing safe systems of work.
- Strong team player with the ability to motivate and embed a safety culture.
- Knowledge of signalling inspection, faulting, maintenance and renewal techniques.
- Relevant competencies for the role (or willingness to achieve them), ideally NVQ Level 1 or 2 or equivalent experience.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to drive.
