Sister / Charge Nurse – Intermediate Care

About the role

The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Sister / Charge Nurse to join the Butler Green Unit in Oldham. You will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care within Intermediate Care (IC) and Enhanced Intermediate Care (EIC) services, supporting adults through their rehabilitation journey.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct holistic and ongoing clinical assessments, using strong judgement to address complex health needs.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate personalised care programmes that promote patient independence.
• Lead and coordinate the nursing team, allocating work and monitoring resources efficiently.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and contribute to service development.
• Promote health, safety, equality, diversity and inclusion across the unit.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with experience in intermediate or rehabilitation care.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and make clinical decisions.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Leadership aptitude to support and develop junior staff.
