Site Engineer – Infrastructure (Anglian Water Project)

About the role

Skanska is delivering a £2.6 billion Anglian Water infrastructure programme across the East of England. As a Site Engineer you will own the engineering delivery on‑site, ensuring safe, high‑quality work while supporting junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day site quality assurance, including surveying, setting out, inspections and approvals.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve construction challenges and keep works on programme, budget and quality targets.
• Prepare temporary works briefs, red‑line drawings and 3‑month look‑ahead plans for your section of works.
• Apply company policies, legal requirements and health‑safety standards, focusing on hazard minimisation.
• Maintain accurate site records and coordinate with engineering teams to resolve issues against specifications, drawings and digital models.

Required profile

• HND or HNC / Civil Engineering Technician Level 4 with CAD and BIM proficiency.
• Strong problem‑solving ability in both design and site environments.
• Competence with robotic total stations and GPS surveying equipment.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Health & safety certifications: 3‑day First Aid, SSSTS and a role‑specific CSCS card.
