Site Engineer - RC Structures & Earthworks

About the Role

Join a highly skilled engineering team working on a major, high-profile project in West Glasgow. As a Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the technical delivery of reinforced concrete (RC) structures and earthworks, managing technical complexity with precision and excellence.

Main Responsibilities

• Interpret and communicate engineering information, including markings, sketches, calculations, and work implementation.
• Manage dimensional control and survey instrumentation, producing "as-built" compliance checks and maintaining primary control.
• Draft RFIs and TQs to proactively resolve design inconsistencies.
• Implement quality plans, conduct site inspections, resolve minor technical issues, and maintain ITP documentation.
• Oversee work permits, material quantification, call-offs, and logistical supply tracking.
• Maintain accurate site journals and contribute to organizational knowledge capture.
• Mentor and supervise graduate engineers, assistants, and apprentices.
• Ensure strict adherence to HSES regulations and contribute to project health, safety, environment, and sustainability goals.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in site engineering, specifically within RC structures and earthworks.
• Strong ability to manage technical details and complex engineering data.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with operational teams and stakeholders.
• Natural leadership qualities with a desire to mentor junior staff.
• Highly organized with a focus on quality control and safety compliance.
