Site Foreman – Construction Projects (Carlisle)

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position in Carlisle supports construction projects from planning through completion. Working closely with site teams, supervisors and management, the role ensures work is delivered safely, on time and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate resources, materials and subcontractors to keep the site running smoothly.
• Monitor daily progress, document activities and report updates to internal stakeholders.
• Assist with quality checks and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Identify and resolve logistical or scheduling issues on the ground.
• Maintain clear communication with colleagues, subcontractors and clients.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in construction, civil engineering or groundworks, preferably on commercial or residential projects.
• Practical understanding of site operations such as excavation, drainage, concrete works and general building activities.
• Familiarity with health and safety practices and a commitment to follow company procedures.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities, with the capacity to handle changing priorities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work on site in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks safely.
• Relevant vocational training or qualifications; a valid CSCS card is an advantage.
• Full, valid driver’s licence and reliable transport for travel to the Carlisle site and surrounding locations.
