Site Manager – Fawley Refinery Projects

About the role
Join Trant Engineering to lead the delivery of critical projects in a high‑risk environment at the Fawley Refinery. As a Site Manager you will ensure all activities within your area are carried out safely, compliantly and in line with project requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and supervise site teams, including subcontractors and operatives.
- Ensure safe, efficient and compliant delivery of construction and installation works.
- Manage site resources, plant and materials effectively.
- Maintain quality standards, conduct inspections and oversee defect management.
- Carry out duties in accordance with Company Management System, statutory and client requirements.
- Monitor site progress against the programme and report issues to senior management.
- Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks and safety inspections, following CDM Regulations.
- Provide regular site progress reports, including programme updates and resource usage.
- Maintain site records, quality documentation and health & safety logs.
- Engage closely with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure project delivery within budget and schedule.
Required profile
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or equivalent health and safety certification.
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager delivering projects in the Oil & Gas, water or energy sectors.
- Experience managing multi‑disciplinary site teams and subcontractors.
- Demonstrable experience in health, safety and environmental compliance on construction sites.
- Desirable: HNC/HND/Degree in Construction, Project Management or Civil Engineering.
- Desirable: CDM Coordinator/Management training and experience on AMP, D&B, EPC or regulated utility frameworks.
