Site Supervisor (No Staff) - Customer Service Engineering

About the role

Jungheinrich, an intralogistics company, is looking for a Site Supervisor to join its customer service engineering team in Ellesmere Port. The post is full-time and involves supervising customer service engineering, delivering site maintenance, repairs, reports and parts control while meeting safety and performance goals. The supervisor assists the Area Service Manager in meeting site performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Repair and preventative maintenance of materials handling and ancillary equipment
• Accurately complete service reports and time sheets
• Manage and control parts stock
• Build customer relationships and meet customer expectations in line with contractual obligations
• Contribute to customer review meetings as agreed by the line manager
• Use the site audit tool to develop and motivate the team and drive continuous improvement
• Keep close contact with the after-sales office on repair times and estimated times of arrival
• Ensure chargeable follow-up work is identified and completed in a timely manner
• Identify sales leads for Jungheinrich equipment and after-sales products
• Act as a company ambassador and meet all company and customer health and safety procedures
• May be called out and asked to work outside normal hours

Required profile

• Mechanically and electrically biased engineer from a maintenance or service background, such as general automotive, HGV, mobile plant, forklift or ex-forces military vehicle engineers
• Clean driving licence and good level of education
• Experience in a customer-facing environment and used to working unsupervised
