Skilled Upholsterer – Bespoke Furniture

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Upholsterer to join a boutique workshop in Edinburgh, creating high‑quality bespoke furniture for private clients. The successful candidate will work with a small, friendly team, applying both traditional and modern upholstery techniques to deliver flawless finished pieces.

Key responsibilities

• Measure, cut and fit fabrics, leather, foam and fillings with precision.
• Strip, rebuild and re‑upholster furniture using traditional and contemporary methods.
• Perform sewing of cushions and covers.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
• Meet project deadlines while upholding high‑quality finishing standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in upholstery, including stripping and rebuilding furniture.
• Proficiency in cutting and fitting fabric, leather and foam.
• Ability to sew cushions and covers.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.

• Upholstery techniques (traditional and modern).
