Software Developer – Hybrid (Reading)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Developer to join a fast‑growing, award‑winning software company in Reading. The role is hybrid (three days on‑site) and offers the chance to work on Salesforce‑based products, Azure services and cutting‑edge AI projects alongside the Founder and a small, experienced engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance features across Salesforce applications, Azure‑hosted services and backend systems.
• Write clean, testable, maintainable code using C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript and REST APIs.
• Participate in architecture and design discussions, contributing ideas to product direction.
• Collaborate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders in an agile, code‑review driven environment.
• Leverage AI development tooling to improve productivity and support integration and data‑modelling activities.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one of C#, Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure services (App Services, Functions, SQL, etc.).
• Solid understanding of APIs, SQL and version control (Git) in an agile setting.
• Daily use of AI development tools and a willingness to upskill in Salesforce.
