About the role

Our client, a leading technology consulting business in Newcastle upon Tyne, is expanding rapidly and needs a Software Developer to help deliver cutting‑edge solutions for its customers. You will work closely with users and stakeholders to translate business needs into high‑quality software.

Key responsibilities

• Engage directly with users, stakeholders and subject‑matter experts to identify requirements.
• Apply sound judgement to design and deliver pragmatic, effective solutions.
• Take early responsibility for high‑quality end‑to‑end software delivery.
• Partner with client teams to deliver products and projects collaboratively.
• Challenge existing systems and processes to achieve common goals through technical excellence and innovation.
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry and technology trends.

Required profile

• 2:1 or 1st class degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Computing Science, Maths, Physics).
• Demonstrable experience working as a Software Developer.
• Experience in the Financial Services sector is highly advantageous.
