Software Engineer – Cloud Medical Imaging

About the role

Caristo Diagnostics is looking for a Software Engineer to join its fast‑growing engineering team in Oxford. You will work on the end‑to‑end software platform that powers the FDA‑approved CaRi‑Heart® coronary inflammation diagnostic device, collaborating with colleagues in the UK and the US.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a cloud‑based medical imaging software system.
• Engage with internal teams and external stakeholders (hospital IT, clinicians) to deliver effective solutions.
• Provide installation and technical support for operations and customers.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including test automation.
• Participate in code reviews and document code, systems, and processes.

Required profile

• BSc/BEng degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with medical data systems and communication protocols such as DICOM, FHIR, or HL7.
• Proven Python programming skills.
• Full‑stack development experience.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
