Software Engineer – Embedded Systems

About the role

We are expanding our Engineering team in Norwich and need a Software Engineer to lead the delivery of a new Embedded Accountancy project. The role offers hands‑on technical ownership of a high‑visibility initiative that integrates financial workflows into our global retail platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy core features for the Embedded Accountancy solution.
• Maintain code quality, optimise backend logic and ensure data integrity across financial integration systems.
• Participate in architecture discussions and cross‑functional planning to support the engineering pipeline.

Required profile

• Commercial experience as a Software Engineer with solid foundations in object‑oriented programming.
• Experience building or integrating APIs, data pipelines, and accounting ledger logic.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into clean, performant code.
• Willingness to work onsite at our Norwich head office.
