Software Engineer

About the role

IBCA is looking for a motivated Software Engineer to join its Digital & Data Directorate. You will work on a public‑service platform that pays compensation to eligible individuals, shaping the technology stack from the early stages of the service lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners to turn user stories into actionable development tasks.
• Work with designers and architects to build responsive front‑end applications and robust back‑end APIs.
• Ensure all user interfaces meet accessibility standards and perform well across devices.
• Partner with DevOps teams to create CI/CD pipelines for frequent, reliable releases.
• Design and implement scalable solutions that meet performance and security requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and best practices.
• Share knowledge proactively within internal communities.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering complex services on AWS infrastructure.
• Hands‑on experience with relational and non‑relational databases, including handling sensitive data.
• Experience building and operating containerised applications in Kubernetes (EKS).
• Strong command of modern programming languages such as Python, Java and Typescript.
• Deep understanding of software design patterns and testable architecture.
• Comfortable working in Agile teams and able to influence technical decisions.
