About the role
ENSEK is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team within the Flex platform, shaping product development and engineering culture. Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will create a high‑performing environment where engineers thrive, grow, and deliver valuable outcomes for customers.
Key responsibilities
- Hire and develop exceptional talent, conduct meaningful 1:1s, and foster a culture of ownership and high standards.
- Own sprint planning, backlog prioritisation and execution in partnership with Product to deliver high‑quality features at pace.
- Champion best‑in‑class design, testing, code review and CI/CD practices to ensure maintainable, dependable software.
- Provide technical leadership on architecture, make pragmatic trade‑offs, and collaborate with architects and SRE on scalable, secure systems.
- Work closely with Product, UX, Data and SRE to define clear acceptance criteria and coordinate smooth releases.
- Ensure operational excellence through on‑call readiness, blameless post‑incident reviews, runbooks, monitoring and SLIs/SLOs.
- Drive continuous improvement by removing friction, automating processes and fostering a culture of experimentation.
Required profile
- 3+ years of engineering management experience with a track record of hiring, coaching and developing teams.
- Strong background in shipping production micro‑services or cloud‑native applications, preferably on AWS.
- Hands‑on experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code and container orchestration (Kubernetes or equivalent).
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders across product, design, SRE and senior leadership.
Required skills
- Modern programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, Python, Go or C#.
- Cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and micro‑service architecture.
- Kubernetes or equivalent container orchestration.
- CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing and quality engineering.
- Observability, monitoring, logging and incident response practices.
