Solicitor / Associate – Abuse Claims (Glasgow)

About the role

We are expanding our Keoghs Scotland’s Abuse team in Glasgow and are seeking a Solicitor or Associate to advise a varied client base on complex and sensitive abuse claims. The role offers high‑impact work, career development across broader legal fields and a supportive, expert team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of pre‑litigated and litigated abuse claims (Defender).
• Conduct forensic review and analysis of documents, liability, quantum and causation.
• Draft advice, court documents and correspondence.
• Prepare witness statements and instructions to experts and counsel.
• Liaise with clients and conduct site visits.
• Support Partners and contribute to team initiatives.
• Engage in business development through articles, blogs, presentations and events.

Required profile

• Experience in handling sensitive and complex abuse claims.
• Sheriff Court appearances and instructing in the Court of Session.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
