About the role

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect / Technical Manager to join a fast‑growing technology consultancy in Manchester. This hybrid, hands‑on leadership position combines solution architecture, technical leadership, and client engagement while championing AI‑powered engineering practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture across multiple client projects.
• Provide technical leadership and define engineering best practices.
• Act as senior technical advisor, guiding clients on architecture, feasibility and risk.
• Drive adoption of AI tools and modern development practices.
• Mentor and develop engineering teams, fostering technical excellence.
• Shape technical strategy and support business growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in solution architecture, technical leadership or software engineering.
• Background leading engineering teams in a client‑facing or consultancy environment.
• Ability to design scalable, end‑to‑end technical solutions across multiple technology stacks.
• Experience with AI‑powered development tools and modern engineering practices.
• Strong communication skills with both technical teams and senior stakeholders.
