Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutor – 1:1 Support

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutor to provide high‑quality, one‑to‑one support to a student in Broadstairs. This role offers the chance to help a young learner build confidence, overcome educational barriers, and reach their full potential through personalised tuition.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, tailored 1:1 lessons that meet the student’s individual learning needs.
• Adapt teaching strategies to support a variety of SEN requirements.
• Build a positive, encouraging relationship that promotes confidence and academic progress.
• Monitor and record progress, providing regular feedback to parents and professionals.
• Collaborate closely with parents, schools, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the student.

Required profile

• Experience working as a tutor or supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
• Patient, caring, and adaptable approach to teaching.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to create engaging, personalised lesson plans.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
