About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Tutor to provide high‑quality, one‑to‑one support to a student in Broadstairs. This role offers the chance to help a young learner build confidence, overcome educational barriers, and reach their full potential through personalised tuition.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, tailored 1:1 lessons that meet the student’s individual learning needs.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support a variety of SEN requirements.
- Build a positive, encouraging relationship that promotes confidence and academic progress.
- Monitor and record progress, providing regular feedback to parents and professionals.
- Collaborate closely with parents, schools, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the student.
Required profile
- Experience working as a tutor or supporting children with Special Educational Needs.
- Patient, caring, and adaptable approach to teaching.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to create engaging, personalised lesson plans.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
