Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to support pupils across schools in East London. The role starts in September 2026 and runs until the end of the academic year, offering a full‑time, on‑site position within a dynamic educational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored assistance to students with a range of SEN requirements.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement individualized learning plans.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and up‑to‑date safeguarding training.
• Adapt classroom activities to meet diverse learning needs.

Required profile

• Experience working with children and young people, particularly those with SEN.
• A relevant degree.
• Safeguarding training completed within the last year.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one) and two professional child‑related references covering the past two years.
