Specialist Commercial Broker (Insurance)

About the role

We are seeking a Specialist Commercial Broker to join our fast‑growing specialist insurance brokerage in London. The role combines new‑business conversion with ongoing client management, delivering sophisticated insurance and risk‑management solutions to ambitious businesses. You will work with qualified opportunities from established referral networks, guiding clients from initial engagement through placement, renewal and programme development.

Key responsibilities

• Manage clients through the full insurance lifecycle, from enquiry to placement, renewal and ongoing servicing.
• Design and structure tailored insurance programmes that address complex commercial risks.
• Analyse existing insurance arrangements, identify gaps and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurers to secure competitive cover.
• Manage complex placements across a range of commercial insurance products, including London Market risks where appropriate.
• Provide strategic insurance advice as clients grow, diversify and enter new markets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial insurance broking, account executive or account handling.
• Strong technical knowledge of insurance products and ability to engage with insurers.
• Demonstrated ability to own and develop client relationships.
• Willingness to attend the firm’s Gloucestershire office regularly while based in London.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid model.
