Specialist Hygiene Technician – Croydon

About the role

We are looking for a Specialist Hygiene Technician to join our Croydon team, covering South West and South East London. The role involves delivering a wide range of hygiene and cleaning services to commercial and public premises, with full training provided.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bio‑hazard, flood‑water damage, infection‑control, police and prison cell cleaning, sharps removal, trauma and crime‑scene cleaning.
• Carry out specialised tasks such as factory cleans, high‑level work, and silo cleaning.
• Work reactively in a fast‑paced environment, adapting to changing weekly assignments.
• Participate in an on‑call rota and receive enhanced pay for on‑call duties.
• Provide customers with expert advice and maintain a professional image at all times.

Required profile

• Valid UK driving licence held for at least two years with no more than six penalty points.
• Self‑motivated, reliable and proactive attitude.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work varied patterns and on‑call shifts.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Potential requirement to pass a DBS check.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills are required; comprehensive training will be provided.

What we offer

• Basic salary of £26,655 per annum plus a £2,000 annual allowance, with OTE around £35,000.
