Specialist Hygiene Technician – Croydon

About the role

Rentokil is looking for a Specialist Hygiene Technician to join its Croydon branch, covering South West and South East London. The role involves delivering a wide range of hygiene and cleaning services to commercial and public premises, with full training provided. No prior experience is required, making it an ideal entry‑level opportunity for motivated individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to reactive cleaning requests across diverse environments, from biohazard incidents to industrial sites.
• Work on an on‑call rota and receive enhanced pay for out‑of‑hours assignments.
• Provide expert advice to customers and maintain a professional image at all times.
• Complete cleaning tasks such as flood water damage cleanup, infection control, sharps removal, crime‑scene decontamination, high‑level and silo cleaning.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence held for at least two years with no more than six penalty points.
• Self‑motivated, reliable, proactive and able to manage a flexible schedule.
• Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Ability to pass a DBS check where required.

• Basic salary £26,655 per annum plus a £2,000 yearly allowance (OTE £35,000+).
