Specialist Hygiene Technician – Croydon

About the role

Rentokil is looking for a Specialist Hygiene Technician to join its Croydon branch, covering South West and South East London. The role involves delivering a wide range of hygiene cleaning services to commercial and institutional premises, with full training provided. No prior experience is required, making it an ideal entry‑level opportunity for motivated individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide biohazard cleaning, flood water damage cleanup, infection control, police and prison cell cleaning, sharps removal, trauma and crime scene cleaning, and specialised technical cleaning such as factory, high‑level and silo cleaning.
• Work reactively in a fast‑paced environment where assignments can change weekly.
• Participate in an on‑call rota and receive enhanced pay for on‑call work.
• Offer expert advice to customers and maintain a professional image at all times.
• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout each assignment.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence held for more than two years with no more than six penalty points.
• Self‑motivated, reliable and proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Flexibility to adapt working patterns to business needs.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• May be required to pass a DBS check depending on the assignment.

• Competitive salary starting at £26,655 per annum plus a £2,000 allowance, with OTE around £35,000.
