Specialist Occupational Therapist

About the role

We are seeking a Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Brinksway School, Stockport. You will deliver specialist OT assessment and intervention within a dynamic education setting, helping pupils develop independence and achieve their potential. The role offers a supportive environment with opportunities for research and professional development.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and design tailored intervention plans for pupils.
• Collaborate with teachers, clinicians and support staff to integrate OT strategies into daily routines.
• Participate in research projects, special interest groups and regular training sessions.
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes and reports in line with statutory requirements.
• Contribute to the development of individualized education plans and support the transition of pupils to greater independence.

Required profile

• Qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC.
• Specialist experience working in an education or school setting.
• Ability to work creatively, flexibly and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to continued professional development and CPD.

What we offer

• Permanent term‑time contract (30 hours per week, Monday‑Thursday).
• Salary up to £53,200 per year pro rata, dependent on experience.
