Specialist Support Worker - Visually Impaired Colleague

About the role

Barclays is looking for a Specialist Support Worker in Northampton to support and work alongside a visually impaired colleague in their day-to-day role within fraud. The role is hybrid, based in Northampton one day a week, with a shift pattern between 8am and 5pm including some weekends. It starts with a salary of up to £32,000 and offers full training.

Key responsibilities

• Provide thoughtful, effective support to customers by resolving more complex needs with care, clarity and professionalism, contributing to the Specialist Customer Care team.
• Support customer service through chat, email and phone, and resolve complex customer requests and enquiries.
• Collaborate with teams across the bank to align and integrate customer care processes.
• Identify areas for improvement and give feedback and coaching to colleagues.
• Develop and implement customer care procedures and controls to mitigate risk.
• Resolve customer issues on products and services, including account balances, transactions and payments.
• Produce reports and presentations on customer care performance for senior stakeholders.
• Keep up with industry trends and best practice to improve customer care.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills.
• Patience and the ability to work alongside a colleague, either via Teams or in the office.
• Nice to have: fraud experience or general corporate experience; full serve experience is mentioned as a bonus.
