Specialist Tutor – Tiverton

About the role

Prospero Teaching is looking for enthusiastic Specialist Tutors to deliver high‑quality 1:1 or small‑group sessions for learners across the Tiverton area. You will support students in core subjects, provide SEN assistance, help with catch‑up work and exam preparation, and deliver alternative provision for those outside mainstream education.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver tailored tutoring sessions for individuals or small groups.
• Provide specialist support for students with additional needs (SEN).
• Assist learners in preparing for exams and catching up on missed curriculum.
• Offer alternative provision for students not currently in mainstream schools.
• Travel within Tiverton and surrounding areas to meet students as required.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching/tutoring experience.
• Proven experience working with children who have additional needs.
• Patient, empathetic and adaptable approach.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
• Access to reliable transport for travel within the Taunton area.
