Specialty Registrar – Respiratory & General Medicine

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Specialty Registrar to join our Respiratory and General Medicine team within the University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. The post is initially for a fixed‑term of 12 months, with the possibility of extension, and offers the opportunity to work in a newly merged Trust serving the South West region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide inpatient medical cover on the respiratory ward and manage referrals from other specialties.
• Participate in general medicine on‑call rota, delivering acute care as required.
• Run and attend outpatient clinics related to respiratory and general medicine.
• Contribute to day‑to‑day patient management, including clinical decision‑making and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Required profile

• Experience in respiratory medicine at ST3 level or equivalent.
• Eligibility to work as a Specialty Registrar within the NHS.
• Commitment to a full‑time schedule and on‑call duties.
• Ability to work effectively within a large, merged Trust environment.
