Sports Coach

About the role

Reeson Education is seeking a motivated Sports Coach to join a dynamic school environment in Sheffield. You will work independently yet collaboratively, delivering both one‑to‑one and group sessions that help pupils develop sporting skills, confidence and a love for physical activity.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver targeted coaching sessions tailored to individual and group needs.
• Lead pupils through drills, fitness routines and team‑based activities.
• Motivate and develop resilience, focus and healthy competition among students.
• Monitor progress, record performance data and provide constructive feedback.
• Coordinate with teachers, parents and school staff to optimise student outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sports coaching, physical education, youth work or a similar structured setting.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Confident, steady approach when managing groups or challenging situations.
• Proactive, reliable and able to work independently.
• Willingness to hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or to obtain one through the agency.
