Sports Coach & Teaching Assistant – September Start

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic Sports Coaches who can also act as Teaching Assistants in an Alternative Provision setting. You will work directly with pupils, both one‑to‑one and in small groups, helping them engage with lessons and progress academically.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils during lessons and around the school, fostering positive learning attitudes.
• Work closely with class teachers to understand individual learning styles and SEM‑related needs.
• Provide tailored assistance to pupils aged 4‑19, adapting support to their specific requirements.
• Help manage challenging behaviour and promote a safe, inclusive environment.

Required profile

• A Supporting Teaching and Learning or childcare‑based qualification (desired).
• Experience working with children in UK schools.
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Two professional references covering recent work.
