Sports Instructor / Coach

About the role
Prospero Teaching is looking for enthusiastic Sports Instructors and Coaches to deliver engaging physical education sessions across primary and secondary schools in Dorset. You will inspire pupils, promote healthy lifestyles, and help develop teamwork and confidence through a variety of sports activities.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver fun, inclusive PE lessons and sports sessions for whole classes and small groups.
- Adapt activities to support pupils of all abilities, including those with additional needs.
- Encourage participation, resilience, and a lifelong love of sport.
- Work across multiple local schools, gaining diverse teaching experience.
Required profile
- Experience in sports coaching, PE instruction, fitness, or youth sport.
- Confident in leading and motivating groups of children and young people.
- Positive, reliable attitude with strong behaviour management skills.
- Willingness to hold a current DBS check (or obtain one).
Required skills
- Ability to deliver clear, structured sports instruction.
- Effective communication with pupils, staff, and parents.
