Staff Engineer – IT Automation & AI-native Transformation

About the role

SoSafe is looking for a visionary Staff Engineer to lead the automation and AI-native transformation of its entire organisation. You will design and build a toolchain that blends traditional automation tools with spec‑driven, agentic workflows, driving adoption across IT and Security teams.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, build and iterate a hybrid toolchain combining n8n, Google Workspace and AI‑driven agents.
• Mentor early‑adopter teams, gather feedback and continuously improve the platform.
• Establish self‑sustaining cultural practices and scale the platform organisation‑wide.
• Drive the evolution toward an all‑encompassing *‑as‑code infrastructure model.
• Contribute to the IT/Security Operating System and support build‑not‑buy initiatives.
• Champion automation and AI platforms, breaking down operational silos.

Required profile

• Proven Staff Engineer experience in a fast‑growing, cloud‑native SaaS environment.
• Hands‑on builder with platform or SRE background, capable of guiding others.
• Track record of successful AI‑native adoption and production‑grade workflow automation.
• Deep technical mastery of infrastructure‑as‑code, modern CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions) and workflow orchestration tools (n8n, Zapier).
• Pragmatic mindset balancing speed, cost and reliability of hybrid architectures.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and ability to explain complex concepts to non‑technical audiences.
