About the role

The NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to join the District Nursing team at Bourtreehill Health Centre in North Ayrshire. You will work within the North Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership, delivering community‑based nursing care to a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

Assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care programmes for community clients.
Manage a caseload independently, including supervision and redeployment of staff in the absence of the Charge Nurse.
Provide safe, caring, and respectful nursing interventions across a variety of settings.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.

Required profile

Professional qualification in nursing (registered nurse) – essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work autonomously as a lone worker in community environments.
Commitment to personal development and willingness to undertake further training.

Required skills

Full UK Driving Licence – essential for community travel.
