Staff Nurse – ICU

About the role

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a qualified Staff Nurse to join its high‑acuity ICU team. You will work in a state‑of‑the‑art 29‑bed intensive care unit delivering world‑class care to critically ill adults.

Key responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care to level 2 & 3 patients in the ICU.
• Prioritises care, recognises patient deterioration and escalates to senior staff.
• Coordinates multidisciplinary care and discharge planning.
• Leads the nursing team in delivering patient‑centred outcomes.

Required profile

• Current NMC registration (First Level) with no practice restrictions.
• Full Occupational Health clearance for Exposure Prone Procedures.
• Demonstrable experience caring for high‑acuity critically‑ill adults with invasive lines, mechanical ventilation, haemodialysis and vasoactive drugs.
• Experience across cardiac, cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, renal and GI surgical specialties.
• Completion of Step 1 Critical Care Competencies Course.

Required skills

• Management of invasive arterial and central lines.
• Operation of mechanical ventilation equipment.
• Delivery of continuous and intermittent haemodialysis.
• Administration of vasoactive intravenous medications.
