Staff Nurse – Vaccination Bank (Band 5)

About the role

The Staff Nurse Vaccination Bank (Band 5) supports the NHS Borders Vaccination Transformation Programme, delivering adult vaccinations across the Scottish Borders. You will work in a variety of community settings, ensuring high‑quality, safe immunisation services.

Key responsibilities

• Administer a range of adult vaccinations in community and outreach settings.
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow NHS vaccination protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve vaccination targets.
• Provide clear information and reassurance to patients about vaccines.
• Contribute to quality improvement and audit activities.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a current NMC registration.
• Demonstrated commitment to NHS core values of compassion, kindness, integrity, teamwork and excellence.
• Strong communication and team‑working abilities.
• Flexibility to work across multiple sites within the Borders region.
