About the role
We are looking for a Staff Product Designer to lead the design of our Acquiring product suite and evolve Checkout.com’s cross‑pillar design system. Based in London, you will work three days a week on‑site, reporting to the Director of Enterprise Product Design.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end design for Acquiring, mentoring designers and raising craft quality through critique and guidance.
- Evolve the company‑wide design system across dashboards and mobile experiences, ensuring consistency and scalability.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to apply the system to real product needs and implementation constraints.
- Improve the hand‑off from design intent to production, leveraging code‑first and AI‑integrated workflows.
Required profile
- Proven staff‑level product design experience with the ability to set direction without formal authority.
- Exceptional craft in interaction, visual design, prototyping and shipped experiences.
- Ownership of complex product work, collaborating closely with Product and Engineering from problem to delivery.
- Experience shaping and evolving a production design system.
Required skills
- Technical fluency to collaborate on design‑to‑development workflows and implementation constraints.
- Experience with AI‑assisted design tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
