Staff Product Manager

About the role

Paddle is looking for an exceptional Staff Product Manager to own the flagship Checkout experience – the most strategically critical, highest‑visibility product surface. You will drive strategy, roadmap, performance and commercial outcomes for a product that processes over $180M in monthly payments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and defend the long‑term vision and roadmap for Checkout, balancing market trends, compliance, technical constraints and commercial impact.
• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of complex initiatives, setting discovery, specification and launch standards for the product team.
• Run continuous optimisation programmes (A/B tests, beta releases, usability research) to improve conversion, authorisation rates and user experience.
• Own and report on core KPIs such as conversion, authorisation rates, revenue impact and NPS, using data to influence broader business strategy.
• Align senior stakeholders—including Exco, Sales leadership and key customers—around Checkout strategy and communicate decisions through clear written narratives.

Required profile

• Proven experience owning high‑stakes, high‑complexity products with measurable business impact, preferably in payments or fintech.
• Hands‑on knowledge of checkout flows, authentication (3DS, SCA), PSP economics and fraud trade‑offs.
• Technical credibility to discuss system architecture, APIs and integration details with engineering.
• Data‑fluent and metrics‑led, capable of independent analysis and hypothesis‑driven recommendations.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration and in‑person collaboration; not a fully remote role.
