Statutory Financial Accountant

About the role

ITV is looking for a Statutory Financial Accountant to join its Corporate Teams on a 5-month fixed-term contract, based in ITV Manchester, Media City with hybrid working. The role maintains and supports an effective and efficient statutory reporting process, working with stakeholders across several locations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare FRS 101/102 statutory accounts and supporting working papers, and perform analytical reviews including detailed balance sheet analysis
• Work with finance colleagues, Group Secretariat and the business to complete the annual report and accounts to a high standard
• Build relationships with acquired entities and assist them through the statutory reporting process
• Assist in preparing the financial statement template used across the UK and central documents supporting the statutory accounts
• Maintain good working relationships with external auditors so audits run efficiently
• Handle iXBRL tagging, give technical advice to other teams and help with ad hoc projects

Required profile

• ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified accountant
• Experience in a large matrix commercial organisation
• Ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences
• Commercially astute, inquisitive and able to build good working relationships

Required skills

• Preparation of financial statements under IFRS and UK Accounting Standards, including FRS 101
• iXBRL tagging
