Store Assistant Manager – Retail Leadership Role

About the role

As a Store Assistant Manager you will be the go‑to person on shift, supporting the Store Manager and leading the team to deliver an excellent customer experience. The role is fast‑paced and varied, covering everything from helping customers design kitchens to managing deliveries and solving issues.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager and lead the store in their absence.
• Drive sales results while maintaining high service standards.
• Inspire and coach colleagues to deliver great customer service.
• Ensure safety, compliance and operational excellence across the store.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, including order fulfilment and assisted selling.
• Assist customers with product selection, design advice and problem resolution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a customer‑facing retail or trade environment.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, especially during busy periods.
• Organised, adaptable and solutions‑focused with strong communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to support nearby stores when needed.
