Store Associate – Retail Sales Role in Manchester

About the role

The Store Associate will be the front‑line representative of Sherwin‑Williams, helping wholesale and retail customers find the right paint solutions. Working in the Mandeville store in Manchester, you will deliver excellent service, maintain store standards and support sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers in person and by phone, identifying their needs and recommending appropriate products.
• Process sales transactions accurately following company policies.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly sales goals.
• Maintain precise work order files and product formulas.
• Pull products from the sales floor or warehouse and mix paints to customer specifications.
• Stock shelves, set up displays and keep the store, office and warehouse clean and organized.
• Load and unload delivery trucks and assist with deliveries as required.
• Monitor inventory levels and follow control procedures.
• Stay up‑to‑date on product features and advise customers on available options.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the UK without sponsorship.
• High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GCSE, CSEC) with passing grades in Math and English.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lb regularly and up to 70 lb occasionally.
• Willingness to work scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
• For internal candidates, a recent performance rating of “meets expectations” or higher.
