Store Manager – Metrocentre Flagship

About the role

Vision Express is seeking an experienced retail leader to run its flagship store in Metrocentre, Gateshead. You will be responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while driving commercial performance in a fast‑paced optical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a large, high‑performing retail team.
• Own store results, KPIs and operational excellence.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations including rotas, stock control, compliance and visual standards.
• Deliver personalised service on the shop floor and ensure a strong team culture.
• Collaborate with support functions to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven retail leadership experience in large, fast‑moving stores.
• Strong commercial focus with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Resilient, adaptable and comfortable managing change.
• Passion for customer experience and retail excellence.
