Strategic Sales Executive (Remote)

About the role

SailPoint, a leader in identity security, is looking for an Account Executive to sell its Identity Security solution. The role is remote and based in the United Kingdom, and involves leading a virtual team of partner resources, presales, partner manager, deal desk, professional services, BVA team and customer success. Business travel of around 50% per year is expected.

Key responsibilities

• Exceed quarterly and yearly revenue quota goals.
• Qualify prospects, present SailPoint's value compared with Microsoft, Okta and Saviynt, and lead virtual teams to win deals.
• Develop territory and opportunity plans, and work with leadership to refine the sales strategy.
• Manage the full sales cycle: qualification, presentations, demos, RFP responses, negotiations and closing.
• Pursue leads, update internal systems, and collaborate with marketing on partner-led plans.
• Follow up with customers and partners after sale, and keep accounts covered.
• Use channel management and reporting tools, including accurate forecasting and Salesforce hygiene.

Required profile

• A skilled communicator in first meetings and discovery calls, able to qualify opportunities.
• Ability to lead a virtual team and act as quarterback, preparing teammates before calls.
• Preferred: a bachelor's degree or global equivalent in an IT, business or sales-related field.
