Strategic Supply & Demand Planner – Grocery (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

We are looking for a Strategic Supply and Demand Planner to join Amazon’s UK Fresh team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Based in Manchester or London, you will drive inventory strategies that maximise in‑stock rates, sales, margin and inventory turns for grocery categories.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain excellent in‑stock rates for assigned grocery categories.
• Execute inventory strategies to optimise sales, turns and overall inventory health.
• Monitor and own KPIs such as in‑stock rate, procurement lead time, fill rate, forecast accuracy and turns.
• Forecast and manage inbound and outbound inventory flows, including purchasing and removal of unproductive stock.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of operational issues and lead improvement projects.
• Collaborate with retail and operations partners to enhance tools and automate manual processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, engineering, analytics or a related field.
• Proven experience in quantitative/financial analysis, retail buying, planning, allocation, product/project management or e‑commerce.
• Strong analytical mindset with a track record of data‑driven decision making.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, VBA, data links).
