Strategy & Innovation Placement – 12.5‑month Internship

About the role

This 12.5‑month placement supports innovation practices across the Airbus Filton site, working closely with the site strategy team to deliver projects that shape the future of the site and its people.

Key responsibilities

• Day‑to‑day management of the Filton innovation space, supporting specialists in technologies such as 3D printing, mechatronics, mixed reality and AI.
• Deliver projects from the Filton site‑strategy portfolio, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Liaise with European teams and external partners to introduce new innovation opportunities and up‑skilling programmes.

Required profile

• Must be an undergraduate for the full placement duration, studying a relevant degree (e.g., Engineering, Innovation, Strategy, Operations Management, Business, Project Management).
• Curious, innovative and willing to challenge the norm while continuously improving.
• Committed, proactive and able to take ownership of projects, demonstrating resilience and perseverance.
• Capable of working both autonomously and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
