Strategy Manager - Insurance

About the role

We are seeking a Strategy Manager to support the development and delivery of corporate strategy within a specialist insurance organisation that works closely with the UK government and industry partners. The role offers exposure to senior decision‑making, board‑level work and the chance to deepen expertise in insurance and public‑interest strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct internal and external analysis to inform strategic priorities and senior decisions.
• Gather and synthesize financial, operational, market, customer and policy data from multiple sources.
• Identify key insights and translate them into clear recommendations for senior leaders.
• Develop corporate strategy, operating models, performance measures and strategic KPIs.
• Undertake horizon scanning to spot emerging risks, opportunities and market trends.
• Collaborate across functions to align plans with corporate priorities.
• Prepare concise board and executive committee papers, presentations and updates.
• Coordinate strategic working groups and manage defined strategic projects.
• Support engagement with insurance‑industry members and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Experience in the insurance industry or in strategy consulting.
• Strong analytical ability with a track record of turning data into actionable insight.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting to senior and non‑technical audiences.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage projects.
• Interest in public‑interest purpose and stakeholder management.
