Structural Revit Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Structural Revit Technician to join a Glasgow‑based consultancy. You will support a variety of projects across commercial, residential, infrastructure, energy and industrial sectors, creating coordinated 3D structural models and detailed construction drawings.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed 3D structural models using Revit in line with project BIM standards.
• Produce high‑quality 2D drawings, including general arrangements, sections and construction details.
• Collaborate with structural engineers to translate design intent into accurate, buildable models.
• Coordinate with civil, architectural and MEP disciplines to ensure clash‑free, integrated designs.
• Participate in model reviews, clash detection and coordination meetings.
• Maintain BIM data, ensuring consistency, accuracy and compliance with ISO 19650.
• Assist in improving BIM standards, templates and workflows.
• Manage drawing registers, revisions and project documentation.

Required profile

• HNC/HND or equivalent in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience using Revit within a structural or multidisciplinary consultancy.
• Experience with AutoCAD or similar structural modelling tools.
• Knowledge of Navisworks or comparable clash detection software.
• Strong understanding of structural systems and construction methods (steel, concrete, timber).
• Familiarity with BIM processes and coordinated design delivery.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.
