Study Skills Tutor ASC – University of Exeter

About the role

Randstad Student Support is seeking a Specialist One‑to‑One Study Skills Support Worker to assist autistic students at the University of Exeter. You will deliver personalised learning support, helping students become independent learners while adhering to the Disabled Students Allowance framework.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement individual learning plans tailored to each student’s needs.
• Coach students on independence, organisation, time‑management and research strategies.
• Support reading, writing and comprehension skills, including correct referencing.
• Maintain confidentiality, act professionally and communicate any concerns promptly to Randstad.
• Manage a caseload of students, ensuring timely and effective support.

Required profile

• Minimum undergraduate degree (Level 6) and a recognised teaching qualification.
• Extensive training in adult autism – either 6 National Autistic Society modules or the Optimum Training Course on Autism and ADHD in Higher Education.
• Eligibility to work under the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA) framework.

Required skills

• Knowledge of autism support strategies for higher‑education students.
• Ability to create and adapt learning plans and study‑skill interventions.
