Sub‑contractor Electrician – Clean Room Fit‑out (Luton)

About the role

We are seeking a self‑employed electrician (CIS) to join a clean‑room fit‑out project in the Luton/Dunstable area. The role starts immediately, with the first five weeks focused on containment fitting before progressing to more complex wiring and second‑fix tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Install containment, trunking and basket systems throughout the clean‑room environment.
• Fit trapeze support systems and use Lindapter hardware to hang ceiling rods.
• Carry out second‑fix electrical installations after the containment phase.
• Read and interpret electrical and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation.
• Work both independently and as part of a small on‑site team, adhering to safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Self‑employed (CIS) electrician with up‑to‑date NVQ Level 3, ECS, 18th Edition and AM2 certifications.
• Valid IPAF operator certificate and CSCS card.
• Strong experience in containment, trunking, basket and trapeze system installation.
• Ability to start immediately and work on a Monday‑to‑Friday schedule, with optional Saturday overtime.
• Own tools and a van for site travel.

What we offer

• Competitive rate of £23‑£28 per hour, negotiable based on experience.
• Standard 8‑hour weekdays, Monday‑Friday, with overtime pay for Saturday work.
