Summer Cleaner – June to September (East London)

About the role

This is a full‑time, temporary position supporting a major East London university during its summer accommodation period. You will work on a fixed rota from June through September, providing reliable cleaning services for student housing.

Key responsibilities

• Clean bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, corridors and communal areas.
• Hoover, mop, dust and perform general housekeeping tasks.
• Deep‑clean fridges and freezers, strip bedding and handle light laundry.
• Support weekend check‑in and check‑out activities.
• Empty bins, restock supplies and report maintenance issues.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a cleaning role.
• Excellent reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
• Availability for 25+ hours per week, Monday‑Sunday, for the full project duration.
• Ability to maintain high standards and follow clear procedures.
