Superflex Roadside Mechanic – Flexible Shifts in Reading

About the role

Join the RAC as a Superflex Roadside Mechanic, providing fast, reliable assistance to members across the Reading cluster. You will work flexible shifts, covering early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays, ensuring drivers get back on the road quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to breakdown calls and perform on‑site vehicle repairs.
• Travel to locations within Reading, Wokingham, Bracknell, Henley‑on‑Thames, Crowthorne and Sandhurst.
• Use RAC‑provided van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit.
• Adhere to a roster released seven days in advance, with core hours confirmed three days prior.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years experience, OR 5 years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.
• Ability to work flexible hours between 06:00 and 02:00.
