Superflex Roadside Mechanic – Richmond

About the role

Join the RAC as a Superflex Roadside Mechanic, providing flexible, high‑quality roadside assistance to members across the Richmond cluster. You will work a varied roster of shifts, supporting drivers from early mornings to late evenings, including weekends and bank holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to breakdown calls and safely recover vehicles to the nearest suitable location.
• Perform on‑site diagnostics and repairs to get members back on the road quickly.
• Maintain a local focus by starting and finishing each shift from home within the Richmond area.
• Utilise a company‑provided RAC van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit for each job.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with at least 2 years experience, **or** 5 years experience as a vehicle technician/mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points.

• Competitive base salary £55,869 per year (incl. London weighting where applicable) with potential earnings up to £61,000.
